Maternity Home: offering housing, healing and community to pregnant women.
- Is MyChoice Clinic a Christian Organization?
Yes, our faith undergirds our work. We offer these services because we are deeply committed to Jesus’ directive to “love our neighbors as ourselves.” If we were in your shoes (and many of us have been) we would want someone to talk with about our situation. All our services are available to you regardless of your religious beliefs or practices. More than anything we want you to know you are not alone, we are on your side and here to listen and help.
- If MyChoice Clinic is a Christian organization, does it believe in a women’s right to choose?
Our decision to call our pregnancy medical clinics “MyChoice Clinic” is about helping women and men make the best decisions for their situation, based on all the information and resources available to them. If you discover you are pregnant you have a choice to make. Our MyChoice Medical Clinic team will provide you with information, resources, and advocacy to help you make your choice. We work to create a non-judgmental environment where you can talk through your situation with a medical professional, giving you the time, space, and support needed so you can decide what’s best for your unique situation. Although MyChoice Clinic does not perform or refer for abortions, we’re here to listen and provide accurate medical information and support that will help you come to a decision you will be comfortable with.
- Is MyChoice Clinic a medical clinic?
Yes, we are a medical clinic with a scope of practice that covers pregnancy and sexual health. All medical care is provided by state-licensed medical professionals under the direction of a medical doctor. We encourage all patients to establish ongoing prenatal medical care with an OB/GYN doctor. In all cases, if you are experiencing a medical emergency call 911 for assistance.
- How can you offer your services for free?
MyChoice Clinic is able to operate, and provide most services for free, due to the generous support of the Spokane community. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to support the ongoing efforts of MyChoice Clinic and Life Services, please click here.
