Sexual Abuse Care

We found in most cases there is a connection between an increased number of sexual partners, unwanted pregnancies, STI’s and sexual trauma. By the age of 18, one out of three women and one out of four-five men will be sexually abused or assaulted. Statistics continue to show that one in nine women will be raped in her lifetime.

MyChoice Clinic wants to come alongside those who have been affected by sexual abuse. If that is you, we want you to know:

  1.  We believe you
  2.   It is not your fault
  3.  We can provide an opportunity for healing

You are never to blame for the actions someone else has taken against you. Following sexual abuse, feelings of shame, guilt, and fear can prevent many from seeking the help they need. Most survivors are unaware how the lasting effects of trauma are negatively affecting their daily life and relationships. Symptoms like difficulty regulating emotions, excessive or lack of sleep, anxiety attacks, problems with intimacy and trust, addictions or eating disorders and other symptoms of PTSD are common for those who have been sexually abused.
