Pregnancy Test

How do I know if I’m pregnant?

Below is a list of common pregnancy symptoms. If you are experiencing anything from the list below and are unsure if you are pregnant, come see us for a FREE, lab-quality pregnancy test.

  • Missed period or periods
  • Sore and swollen breasts
  • Nausea and/or vomiting
  • Appetite changes
  • Fatigue
  • Headaches
  • Constipation
  • Slight bleeding or spotting

If we confirm your pregnancy during your appointment, our RN’s will assess the best timing for a free ultrasound to establish the gestational age (how far along you are), ensure it’s not an ectopic pregnancy, and whether or not it is a viable pregnancy (fetus has a heartbeat). Following a negative pregnancy test, our RN’s can help with family planning, information about contraceptives and can offer STI testing for you and your partner. What can I expect during my appointment?

Pregnancy Test

When trying to find out you are pregnant, it is important that you get a lab-quality pregnancy test — these professional tests are going to be the most accurate. Our pregnancy tests are free of charge and can be done using a urine sample, or when necessary a blood draw. If your test is positive, our RN’s will assess the best timing for a free ultrasound to establish the gestational age (how far along you are), ensure it’s not an ectopic pregnancy (outside the uterus), and whether or not it is a viable pregnancy (fetus has a heartbeat).

Ultrasound

Following a positive pregnancy test, our RN sonographers may perform an ultrasound in order to establish the gestational age (how far along you are). An ultrasound can also tell you if your pregnancy is ectopic (outside the uterus) and whether or not it is a viable pregnancy (fetus has a heartbeat).

Our heart to empower women means that we intentionally take all the time needed to ensure our clients feel heard, seen and valued, during their appointment. Unique to your experience at MyChoice Clinic will be having your RN’s undivided attention. No rushing in and out of the room to other clients or making you wait for long periods of time.
